Recently, the latest dating site I joined, ok cupid, came in handy when I finally met one of my potential suitors last week. While he has an admirable social life (ie; photography and interest in extreme sports), he occasionally lacks in conversation. Don't get me wrong, the guy can keep one going, but yesterday I noticed we both ran out of things to say halfway through dinner.
We spent a majority of our time bowling (where he slaughtered me with 4 strikes in one game..and he said he's an amateur) and seeing "Tropic Thunder"-which was fucking hilarious by the way. However, when we weren't occupied with a movie or sports, we couldn't find much to talk about. We discussed our interests, family, friends, etc...but what else is there? I'd hate to slide into a detailed account of every grocery item I scan for customers at work, but I'm also afraid that this occasional lack of conversation will come back to bite me in the ass. Or when one of us realizes this won't work out in the end.
